On 22 May, one of the MLA ( Member of legislative assembly ) of arunachal pradesh wrote a letter to our prime minister Narendra Modi about putting a ban on battlegrounds mobile India. The respected MLA named ninong ering does not wants battlegrounds mobile India to launch.
He did not just wrote this statement but also clearly researched about the it. He presented some facts and some theories about the potential threat to the privacy of the Indian citizens through the launch of the game.
He stated in his letter that battlegrounds mobile India should be banned because the developer of the game which krafton corporation, a South Korean company is owned by tencent by 15 percent of the shares which is potential threat. He clarifies that tencent shares on krafton can be increased in the future and tencent is the main reason for the ban.
As tencent being a Chinese company can share the private information of Indian citizen to the Chinese government and this will be an unacceptable condition. He also stated that battlegrounds mobile India and pubg mobile are same, it is just renamed.
The information shared by ninong ering about the current shares on tencent in krafton are true as suggested by the wikipedia. Currently there are no updates on the response of the Indian government or PM Modi on this situation but there is a potential threat on battlegrounds mobile India to ban even before its launch.
If the government of India or IT cell will give preference to the suggestion of the MLA, this could be a great issue to the gamers. But at the end all the decisions will be taken for the good of the country and for India's progress.
