The main reason behind the dropping of merit is lack of teamwork and teamsupport , basically when you kill your own teammate with a grenade or by exploding the vehicle your teammate is on .A total of 100 merit is available to each and every player in pubg until and unless the player kills his teammate. As soon as you kill your teammate you merit in pubg decreases by 30 , with is not a good sign . A player needs to maintain a merit of 60 and above to play in squad or Duo. But you need not to worry so much if your merit is above 60 just play with teamwork revive teammate and play safe. But if your merit in pubg is below 60 , there are ways to increase it as it is not permanent. Another reason behind the fall of merit is when you teamup with the enemy's to kill your teammate, if the system detects this type of things being done by the player the systems automatically subtracts 15 merit from the players total merit. Another cause of merit retardation (lowering down of the merit ) is using a hack or cheating in the game, if you caught doing this your account will be banned immediately and you we lose up to 60 merit of yours. So be carefull if you use these type of hacks and do such thing in pubg. 

How to check your merit ?

Many of the beginners don't know how to play and mistakenly kills their teammate due to this there is an adverse effect on the players merit,  and also don't know how to check their merit . So to see your merit follow the steps below :-

1. Click on your profile button on the top left corner of the screen. 

2. Now, Click On the tier overview logo on the right side.

3. There in the bottom right corner you can check your merit.

How to increase merit in pubg fast?

If player want to increase merit in pubg fastly. The player has to perform well in classic mode. Pubg allocates 3 merit to the player for being in top 10 players list , 2 merit for being in 11th to 50th position and 1 merit for being in 51th to 100th position. Just don't be oversmart and play safe , be in the top 10 for more merit. As soon as your merit reaches 60 you can again be eligible to play with squad or Duo. 

Killing your teammate is not good at all, so be an ethical player and not kill your teammate and don't use hacks and cheats in pubg mobile.
